Medical Receptionist

We have a staff vacancy for a Medical Receptionist who will primarily work as a Receptionist and duties will include appointment booking, handling patient enquiries and preparing repeat prescriptions. This does provide an excellent opportunity to move in to General Practice and join our friendly team of established receptionists.

The successful candidate will relate well to members of the public, have a professional and confident manner, have well developed administrative and people skills and be reliable and flexible as to working hours which are between 8am and 6pm, Monday to Friday.

Experience in an office environment is preferred, though training will be provided as necessary.

The role is expected to be offered at 20 hours per week and it is expected the position holder will be able to provide additional hours for sickness and holiday cover.

The NHS Pension scheme is available and initial rate of pay will be a minimum of £7.88 per hour.

Trainee Medical Receptionist

We have a staff vacancy for a Medical Receptionist trainee position who will primarily work as a Receptionist and duties will include appointment booking, handling patient enquiries and preparing repeat prescriptions. This does provide an excellent opportunity to move in to General Practice and join our team of established receptionists.

The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate the ability to relate well to members of the public, have a professional and confident manner and be flexible in terms of being able to provide cover. The normal working hours will be between 8am and 6pm, Monday to Friday.

Full training will be provided.

The role is expected to be initially offered initially on a zero hours contracted basis to provide for sickness and holiday cover with a view to contracting hours as and when they become available.

The NHS Pension scheme is available and initial rate of pay will be based on the National Minimum Living Wage for respective age bands.
